The brief
A young family in Moka wanted a classic shaker kitchen that could survive daily cooking, two children, and the Mauritian humidity — on a sensible budget.
How we solved it
We built painted tulipwood shaker fronts on moisture-resistant carcasses, with solid oak worktops sealed in food-safe oil. Deep pan drawers, a pull-out spice rack by the hob, and a tall larder unit make the small footprint work hard.
"The drawers alone are worth it. Two years on and it still looks brand new."
